New project: POV.OS

The joint research project “POV.OS – Hardware and software platform for mobile professional operation vehicles” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) aims at developing an innovative automation platform for mobile professional operation vehicles based on an open software/hardware architecture. The focus of the project is on the development and demonstrative implementation of a common core system consisting of hardware and software components for control, sensory acquisition and networking of the professional operation machines.

The Chair of Automatic Control of the FAU is participating in POV.OS with the development of a modular and learning control and planning concept for professional operation vehicles.
