FAU excels in QS and ShanghaiRanking: 2nd in Electrical Engineering, 5th in Automation & Control in Germany!

FAU continues to be among the global leaders in Electrical Engineering! According to the latest QS World University Subject Ranking, the university ranks among the Top 200 worldwide and secures sixth place in Germany — maintaining its strong position from last year.
But that’s not all: In the ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2024, FAU ranks an impressive 2nd in Electrical Engineering and 5th in Automation & Control in Germany.

The ranking is based on criteria such as academic reputation, employer reputation, citations, H-index, and international research network.
