At this year’s Long Night of Sciences on October 25, the Chair of Automatic Control presented current research from the fields of robotics, autonomous systems, and optimization.

Visitors could explore how control engineering shapes modern technology through several interactive exhibits – from a ball-on-plate system and a voice-controlled robotic arm to our robot dog Spot.
Another highlight was the “Optimization Sandbox,” where visitors could define their own optimization problems in the sand and observe the solution process in real time.

We thank all guests for their interest and the many inspiring discussions throughout the evening.
