Philipp Hartmann, Demian Struve, and Mehdi Koochak participated in the 30th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC), held from October 21 to 24, 2026, in Iași, Romania. There, they presented their papers on “Self-Assessing Learning-Based Model Predictive Control of Truck-Trailer Systems in Rough Terrain”, “Reinforcement Learning Control Topologies for a CO2 Vapor-Compression-Cycle in an Electric Vehicle”, and “Feedback-Linearization-Based Sliding Mode Control of Silicon Microring Resonators Using Physics-Guided RC Thermal Modeling”, for which Mehdi Koochak received the Best Paper Award. We sincerely congratulate Mehdi on this achievement!
Beyond the technical program, the conference offered many opportunities for discussion and exchange with fellow researchers. The stay in Iași also provided the chance to experience the city and Romanian hospitality.
